Hello!  My name is Sue Becker and I am the Family and Consumer Sciences teacher here at Riverview Middle School.  I have been teaching in the Barron Area School District for 22 years.  I am a graduate of University of Wisconsin-Stout with two Bachelor of Science degrees, one in Home Economics in Business; minor in business; concentration in Food and Beverage Merchandisng and the other in Family and Consumer Sciences Education.  I also have a Master’s degree from UW - Stout in Human Studies and Family Development.

My classroom is a classroom on the move! The interactive curriculum will help students be empowered to manage the challenges of living and working in an ever changing, diverse global society. In FACE, students will learn real life skills for real life. They will have a chance to experience lessons related to financial literacy, consumerism, cooking, preparing meals, food science, working with and creating textile projects, housing, childcare and understanding the responsibilities families of today face.

I am also the FCCLA Adviser for the middle school.  FCCLA stands for Family, Career and Community Leaders of America.  We are a student led organization based on leadership.  The students do work on many community service projects throughout the year.
