My name is Mrs. Carr, and I am The First Grade teacher at Ridgeland/Dallas Elementary School. . I have taught at all levels of the spectrum, from Kindergarten, to high school. I have been in the field of education since 1988, and here in Barron since 1990. I am looking forward to another outstanding school year in The Barron Area School District. I spent my childhood in Minnesota, as a Viking and a Twin’s fan. After high school I moved across the border to Menomonie, WI, and changed my teams of choice to the Badgers, the Brewers, and the Packers. I received a B.S. degree in Family and Consumer Education/Food Service and Nutrition from The University of WI-Stout, and a Masters Degree in Elementary Education from The University of WI-River Falls, and a Reading #316 Certification from The University of WI-Stout. I enjoy keeping up with the latest research and best practices to keep myself up-to-date in the field of education and technology. It is my goal to assist my students in making great gains in a fun, exciting, and positive learning environment. Outside the classroom I enjoy spending time with my family and friends. I have been blessed with an incredible husband, and two wonderful sons. I enjoy traveling the world with them! In my “free” time, I enjoy hiking and snowshoeing The Ice Age Trail and The Superior Hiking Trail, camping, biking, traveling, paddle-boarding, and reading.
