 Woodland Welcome Day

Woodland School is excited to invite you and your child to our “Woodland Welcome Day” on Tuesday, September 2. Woodland Welcome Day will allow you to learn more about your child’s classroom and give you time to ask all those beginning of the year questions. Each family will be given a scheduled time between 9:00 a.m. and 7:00 p.m. to attend school this day. The first “regular” full day of school will be Wednesday, September 3.

During your scheduled time you and your child will meet with the teacher to discuss grade level expectations and curriculum, time to visit and explore the room, and discuss your child’s needs, interests, and talents privately. There will also be staff available to assist you with school pictures, student forms/registration, fee collection (milk, lunch, etc.), tours of the school, and  learning stations. Please keep in mind that most visits will take at least a half an hour but plan for more if possible. A free light meal sponsored by the Woodland PTA will be provided throughout the day and Interstate Studios will be here taking school pictures.

You will also have an opportunity to meet with Woodland’s music and phy-ed teachers, nurse, resource teachers, student support staff/services, and media specialist. This is a wonderful chance to meet all the people involved in your child’s education. If you have not received confirmation regarding your scheduled time, please contact the Woodland Office at 715-537-5621.
