Hi, my name is Carmen Larson. I am a kindergarten teacher at Woodland Elementary. I truly enjoy teaching kindergarten and interacting with five and six year old children on a daily basis. They are so enthusiastic and offer some interesting insights on life from their perspective.
My husband Doug and I graduated from Barron High School. Soon afterward he joined the Navy and I started college here in Wisconsin. I finished my degree in Hawaii and started teaching there. Since then we have lived in Washington, Idaho, South Carolina, and Wisconsin, where I have taught each grade from pre-kindergarten through fourth grade.
My husband Doug’s career on submarines awarded us many cultural and traveling opportunities. After returning to Wisconsin, we built a home near Hillsdale and are enjoying the idea of staying in one spot for many years. We have two children. Emily is married and lives in Green Lake, Wisconsin. Chris is married and lives in D.C.
Our family enjoys reading, the arts, various sports activities as participants and spectators. I love to garden and my family enjoys the results. We also like spending time outdoors and with extended family. We enjoy the experiences that rural Wisconsin has to offer.
