SPECIAL EDUCATION TEACHER
Phone: 715-537-5627, EXT 130
My name is Chad Buss and this is my 19th year as a special education teacher in the Barron Area School District. I graduated from Abbotsford High School, attained a Bachelor's Degree from the University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire, and attained my Master's Degree in Administration from University of Wisconsin-River Falls and University of St. Thomas.
My first ten years were spent as a special education teacher at Woodland Elementary School. This is my ninth year as a special education teacher at Barron High School. I will also be teaching one writing class at Riverview Middle School during the 2015-2016 school year. Outside of the teaching day, I am an assistant track coach for Barron High School.
I specialize in teaching students with educational disabilities. I will teach one direct instruction writing class at the middle school level. I will also teach three co-taught inclusive English classes in grades 9, 11, and 12. The goal in an inclusive classroom is to provide access to general education curriculum to all students. I provide differentiated instruction and accommodations that allow students to be successful in this classroom environment. I believe this provides all students equal opportunity to learn and reach their full potential.
The best time to reach me is during my prep period at the high school. My prep hour is from 1:27-2:32 p.m. daily.
