SPECIAL EDUCATION TEACHER
Phone: 715-537-5627, EXT 130
My name is Chad Buss and this is my 17th year as a special education teacher in the Barron Area School District. I graduated from Abbotsford High School, attained a Bachelor's Degree from the University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire, and attained my Master's Degree in Administration from University of Wisconsin-River Falls and University of St. Thomas.
My first ten years were spent as a special education teacher at Woodland Elementary School. This is my seventh year as a special education teacher at Barron High School. I will also be teaching two direct instruction classes at Riverview Middle School during the 2013-2014 school year.
I specialize in teaching students with educational disabilities. I will teach two direct instruction classes at the middle school level and four co-taught inclusive English classes in grades 9-12. The goal in an inclusive classroom is to provide access to general education curriculum to all students. I provide differentiated instruction and accommodations that allow students to be successful in this classroom environment. I believe this provides all students equal opportunity to learn and reach their full potential.
The best time to reach me is during my prep period at the high school. My prep hour is from 11:11 a.m. to 11:54 a.m. daily. I can also be reached after 3:30 p.m.
